Sulzer sanctioned in Poland

Sulzer has to briefly droop the activities of its two legal entities in Poland – Sulzer Pumps Wastewater Poland and Sulzer Turbo Services Poland – because of sanctions levied by the Polish government on its Russian minority shareholder Viktor Vekselberg.

The Swiss engineering group believes that the sanctions against its two entities in Poland are erroneous and says that Vekselberg has no management or possession of any Sulzer entity.
The company says it will continue to do every thing in its power to petition for a removing from the sanctions listing, whereas fully complying with the sanctions presently levied in opposition to Sulzer Pumps Wastewater Poland and Sulzer Turbo Services Poland.
Sulzer has 192 employees in Poland and the group is continuous to provide assist to the households impacted by the native Polish sanctions.
If the suspension had been to last, the potential impact on Sulzer’s sales is limited to CHF21 million, which represents zero.6% of the group’s whole gross sales in 2021.
