Waukesha Bearings celebrates plant’s fiftieth anniversary

Waukesha Bearings’ plant in Antigo, Wisconsin.
Founded in Waukesha, Wisconsin in 1946, Waukesha Bearings opened its Antigo manufacturing facility in May 1972, with a staff of three full-time workers. In 2019, the plant expanded to a hundred,000 sq ft of producing house and now employs 120 people. The manufacturing area was added to accommodate manufacturing for marine bearing systems and other new initiatives awarded to the corporate.
“We are pleased with our success and growth to become a supplier of precision bearings to some of the largest multi-national corporations from our small-town, Northern Wisconsin location,” said Mark Greenlund, plant manager.
To celebrate the 50-year milestone, the company is planning an event on the facility for workers and extending its outreach to the group to educate them on the profession alternatives out there at the site. “We are looking for folks inside the Antigo community who wish to be a part of the subsequent 50 years of success at Waukesha Bearings,” mentioned Greenlund.
