The first two phases of the enlargement had been accredited in 2013 in response to growing market demand for larger equipment. Since then, the Grovetown facility has completed upgrades, added tens of 1000’s of square toes to its foundry, elevated furnace capability, accomplished construction on a distribution centre, and gained approval for 3 additional phases of enchancment.
With the completion of the venture, KSB has quadrupled its capability to mold castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), increased its maximum pouring output by up to sixty six,000 lbs (30,000 kg), reduced the number of required shot blast runs by 50%, added special cleansing stations for big castings, implemented new technology and efficiency options, and doubled employee locker room services.
KSB went ahead with the project’s completion, regardless of the Covid-19 pandemic and its financial fallout.
