Evoqua Water Technologies has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Smith Engineering Inc, a US designer, manufacturer and servicer of customized high purity water remedy tools.
Headquartered in Chaska, Minnesota, Smith Engineering provides water remedy services, including filtration, UV, reverse osmosis, and deionization, for the biotech/pharmaceutical, data centre, food and beverage, healthcare, medical gadget and microelectronics markets. The company has more than 1,200 prospects in North America.
Evoqua says that the acquisition will enhance its portfolio of high purity water treatment techniques and broaden its service footprint in North America.
“Smith Engineering has constructed a stable popularity as a trusted partner, providing reliable excessive purity water solutions and services to their broad buyer portfolio,” stated Ron Keating, Evoqua’s CEO. “This addition will further strengthen our service footprint in North America, enabling us to higher serve our prospects.”
